Schools Mutual Services are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Didcot to recruit a passionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher looking to begin their teaching career within a nurturing school environment where professional development, collaboration and pupil wellbeing are at the heart of everything they do.

The successful candidate will be supporting and teaching Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils, helping to create engaging learning experiences while developing their own teaching practice with the support of experienced colleagues and mentors.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS before September 2026
• Be confident and enthusiastic in the classroom
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be open to feedback and committed to continuous professional development
• Demonstrate kindness, patience and a positive attitude
• Have a genuine willingness to learn and develop as an educator
• Be passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential
• Work effectively as part of a collaborative school team

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to KS2 pupils
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Create a positive and inspiring learning environment
• Work closely with colleagues, support staff and parents
• Monitor and assess pupil progress
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
