About the Role
As a Site Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the school remains a safe, clean and well-maintained environment where teaching and learning can flourish.
Working alongside the Site Manager and wider school team, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
- Assisting with the opening and closing of the school site.
- Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, clean and secure.
- Setting up rooms and equipment for meetings, exams and school events.
- Supporting health and safety procedures across the site.
- Monitoring contractors working on site.
- Undertaking basic decorating and maintenance tasks.
- Assisting with porterage duties and deliveries.
- Reporting maintenance issues promptly and accurately.
- Supporting emergency procedures when required.
No two days are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Practical with good DIY or maintenance skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy and organised.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills.
- Committed to maintaining a safe environment for students and staff.
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of site duties.
Previous experience in caretaking, facilities management, maintenance, estates, construction or property services would be beneficial.
