£130 – £150 a day

Schools Mutual Services are recruiting experienced Secondary Subject Specialist Teachers to support our partner secondary schools across Newcastle, Gateshead, Morpeth and Ovingham.

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable teachers specialising in:

  • Science
  • English
  • Mathematics

The Role

As a Secondary Subject Specialist, you will:

  • Deliver engaging lessons within your specialist subject.
  • Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable).
  • Adapt confidently to different school settings.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.

Requirements

To be successful, you will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching within UK secondary schools.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science, English or Mathematics.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to quickly adapt to different school environments.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • The right to work in the UK.
