Schools Mutual Services (SMS) is a not-for-profit supply agency owned and managed by schools and education trusts.
We were created out of sheer frustration with profiteering in the supply sector. Too much money was leaving education, and not enough was being invested in schools or staff.
We exist to put education before profit and to deliver real value, quality and transparency to schools across the UK.
Why We Exist
The supply education sector has long been dominated by large commercial agencies that prioritise profit over people.
Schools were paying high fees; teachers and schools were paying the price.
SMS was created to change that – to build a better way that is ethical, transparent and truly focused on the needs of schools and the professionals who work in them.
