Are you an experienced Nursery Teacher who thrives in a busy Early Years environment?
Schools Mutual Services is recruiting a full-time Nursery Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Consett. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EYFS professional who is confident leading a Nursery class, managing support staff and delivering high-quality teaching from day one.
The school is looking for someone who can quickly become an integral part of the team, follow the school’s direction and confidently take ownership of the classroom.
About the Role
As the Nursery Teacher, you’ll have full responsibility for delivering engaging and inspiring learning experiences that support every child’s development.
You’ll work closely with Early Years support staff while leading the classroom with confidence, ensuring routines run smoothly and children are given the best possible start to their education.
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive and experienced in managing both the classroom and the adults working within it.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging EYFS learning opportunities.
- Leading and supporting Nursery staff throughout the school day.
- Managing the day-to-day organisation of the classroom.
- Monitoring children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS Framework.
- Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Building positive relationships with families, colleagues and school leaders.
- Undertaking all responsibilities expected of a full-time class teacher, including planning, preparation, assessment and record-keeping.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has significant experience teaching within Nursery or the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Has experience leading or managing support staff.
- Is highly organised and able to manage a busy classroom effectively.
- Can confidently follow school procedures while using their own initiative.
- Has excellent communication, leadership and classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about giving young children the very best start to their education.
