Nursery SEN Teaching Assistant Job Consett Part-Time

Location: Consett
Hours: 08:15 – 12:30
Pay: £45–£52 per day
Duration: 20th April – End of Summer Term

About the Role

We are looking for a nurturing and patient Teaching Assistant to support children within a Nursery setting in Consett. This part-time role focuses on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), making it ideal for someone with experience in Early Years and a passion for supporting young children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to children within a Nursery/EYFS setting
  • Work closely with pupils with SEN to support their development
  • Create a calm, nurturing, and engaging environment
  • Assist with early learning activities and routines
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and communication development

Requirements

  • Experience working within an EYFS/Nursery setting
  • Experience supporting children with SEN
  • Nurturing, patient, and caring approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with young children and staff
  • Understanding of early years development
