KS2 Teaching Assistant Job Consett | Full-Time Role
Location: Consett
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Full-Time)
Pay: £100–£110 per day
Duration: 20th April – End of Summer Term
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and supportive Teaching Assistant to work within a Key Stage 2 classroom in a welcoming school in Consett. This is a full-time role combining general classroom support with targeted intervention work for small groups of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general classroom support to the class teacher
- Deliver small group interventions for pupils with SEN
- Support pupils’ academic progress and engagement
- Assist in implementing tailored learning strategies
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and report on pupil progress where required
Requirements
- Experience working within a primary school setting
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Ability to deliver small group interventions effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach

- Background in primary education or SEN support
- Confident working with KS2 pupils
- Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
