About the Role

As the Food Technology Technician, you’ll be an essential part of the school’s Food Technology department, ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely.
Working three days each week, you’ll support teachers by preparing ingredients, equipment and learning resources, allowing students to enjoy engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teachers during practical sessions when required.
  • Managing food storage, stock rotation and waste responsibly.
  • Assisting with classroom displays and practical learning resources.
You’ll play a key role in helping students develop valuable cooking skills and confidence in a safe and well-organised learning environment.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Well organised and able to work independently.
  • Passionate about supporting education and young people.
  • Experienced in catering, hospitality, food preparation or a similar practical environment.
  • Knowledgeable about food hygiene and health and safety.
  • Friendly, reliable and proactive.
