Schools Mutual Services is recruiting Inclusion Support Assistants to work in welcoming primary and secondary schools across Dudley from September 2026.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Inclusion Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to help pupils access learning and achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs
- Helping pupils remain engaged in lessons
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Delivering targeted interventions where appropriate
- Supporting EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Encouraging confidence, independence and resilience
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Following safeguarding policies and school procedures
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic individuals who are committed to helping children thrive.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience working with children or young people
- Experience supporting SEND or SEMH needs (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, empathetic and positive approach
- The ability to build strong relationships
- Good teamwork and organisational skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
Relevant qualifications are welcomed but not essential. We also encourage applications from candidates with transferable experience and a genuine passion for education.
