Location: Consett
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
Pay: M1–M3 (Dependent on Experience)
Duration: 20th April – End of Summer Term
About the Role
We are looking for a committed and nurturing Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Consett. This full-time role involves working with a class of pupils who require additional support, making it ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of inclusive practice and differentiated learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils requiring additional support
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure all pupils are supported effectively
- Implement strategies to support pupils with SEN where required
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to differentiate learning to support a range of abilities
- A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
