About the Role
Schools Mutual Services are working with a primary school in Shildon to recruit a full-time Year 4 Teaching Assistant.
This is a great opportunity to support pupils in a Key Stage 2 (Year 4) classroom, helping to deliver engaging lessons and provide classroom support during a key stage of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general classroom support within a Year 4 setting
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
- Support pupils with their learning in small groups or one-to-one
- Help manage classroom behaviour and engagement
- Support pupils’ academic and social development
- Prepare and organise classroom resources
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a school setting
- Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and supportive approach
- Good behaviour management skills
- DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
