Morning EYFS Teaching Assistant Job in Consett | £14.50+ per hour
Location: Consett
Start Date: 20th April (until Summer Term)
Pay: £14.50 per hour and above (depending on experience)
Hours: 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday
About the Role
Schools Mutual Services is working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Consett to recruit a Morning EYFS Teaching Assistant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting, helping to create a positive and engaging start to their school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils within an EYFS classroom or nursery setting
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where needed
- Help set up and tidy classroom resources
- Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
- Follow safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements
- Experience working with children (EYFS experience desirable)
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
