Secondary Subject Specialist Teachers – Supply Opportunities
Science | Maths | English | Humanities

£190.26 per day 

Schools Mutual Services are currently recruiting experienced Secondary Subject Specialist Teachers to support schools across Durham, Lanchester and the surrounding areas. We are looking for passionate and reliable Science, Maths, English and Humanities teachers who are available for supply opportunities within our partner secondary schools.

 

As a not-for-profit supply organisation owned by schools, our focus is on providing fair pay, transparency and strong support for our teaching staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers who enjoy the flexibility of supply teaching while working within supportive school environments.

 

The Role

  • Deliver engaging lessons in your specialist subject (Science, Maths, English or Humanities)

  • Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable)

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment

  • Follow school policies and procedures

  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Previous teaching experience in UK secondary schools is essential

  • Strong subject knowledge within your specialism

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments

  • Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)

  • Right to work in the UK

Paid in line with national teacher pay scales, depending on experience.
