About the Role
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Primary Teachers to deliver targeted reading and writing interventions across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in a variety of primary schools across Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and Spennymoor.
This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy working with small groups of pupils and making a real difference in helping children develop strong literacy skills and confidence in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver focused reading and writing interventions to small groups or individual pupils

Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 to improve literacy skills and close learning gaps

Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs

Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupil progress

Track and monitor pupil development through targeted intervention support
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2
-
Strong knowledge of literacy teaching and intervention strategies
-
Experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable)

A patient, supportive and adaptable teaching approach
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
