Inspire young learners in our supportive partner schools.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons and help every child achieve their potential.

JOB OVERVIEW

Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Start date: Immediate / to be agreed
Contract: Full-time, ongoing supply opportunity
Salary: Competitive rate of pay, dependent on experience

Schools Mutual Services West Midlands is seeking a passionate, caring and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in the Dudley area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will create an engaging, structured and inclusive learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and potential.

You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and the wider school team to adapt teaching and learning to meet individual needs, ensuring pupils receive the right level of support to make meaningful progress.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND.
  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills.
  • The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and young people

Previous experience teaching pupils with SEND would be highly beneficial, particularly experience within a specialist SEN setting or supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream school.

We also welcome applications from qualified teachers who are looking to develop their experience within SEND and have the right skills, attitude and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
