Schools Mutual Services West Midlands is seeking a passionate, caring and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in the Birmingham area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about helping children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) achieve their potential.
The successful candidate will provide engaging and accessible learning experiences tailored to individual pupils’ needs. You will work alongside Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other education professionals to create a positive, structured and inclusive environment where pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND.
- A caring, patient and resilient approach.
- The ability to adapt lessons and teaching methods to individual learning needs.
- Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A flexible and professional approach to teaching.
- A commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and young people.
Previous experience teaching within an SEN school or supporting pupils with additional needs would be highly beneficial. Experience working with EHCPs and adapting learning for different abilities and needs would also be advantageous.
