Schools Mutual Services is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable Primary School Teachers to join primary schools across Durham, working with pupils from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 2.
We have full-time opportunities available for qualified primary teachers who are passionate about creating engaging learning experiences and making a positive difference to children’s education.
Whether you have experience teaching in KS1, KS2 or across the full primary age range, we want to hear from teachers who can confidently step into the classroom and provide high-quality teaching and support.
As a Primary School Teacher, you will work closely with school staff to deliver engaging lessons, support pupils with different abilities and needs, and create a positive classroom environment where every child has the opportunity to progress.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within a primary school environment.
- Confidence teaching pupils across KS1 and/or KS2.
- A genuine passion for primary education and supporting children’s development.
- Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.
- The ability to adapt teaching to meet different learning needs and abilities.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A reliable, adaptable and professional approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children.
We welcome applications from experienced Primary School Teachers as well as Early Career Teachers looking to develop their experience within supportive local schools.
