Schools Mutual Services is working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in Gateshead to recruit an enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher for a long-term position.
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young people, build their confidence in maths and help them develop the skills they need to succeed.
You’ll be teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils with their learning and helping them prepare for their GCSE examinations.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher who can make Mathematics engaging and accessible for all pupils.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of the secondary Mathematics curriculum.
- Confidence supporting pupils with GCSE preparation.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to adapt teaching to support pupils with SEND and varying learning abilities.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, patient and professional approach to teaching.
- The ability to provide references covering previous teaching experience.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
