Schools Mutual Services is seeking a confident, resilient and committed Behaviour Manager to support a mainstream secondary school in Dudley.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential to progress from temporary to permanent employment for the right candidate. It would suit an experienced behaviour professional who can build positive relationships with young people while maintaining clear expectations and consistent boundaries.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching, pastoral and senior leadership teams to promote positive behaviour, improve engagement and help students overcome barriers to learning.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience supporting behaviour within a secondary school or similar setting.
  • Strong behaviour-management and de-escalation skills.
  • The confidence to manage challenging situations calmly and consistently.
  • A firm, fair and restorative approach.
  • The ability to build positive professional relationships with young people.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • Resilience, reliability and sound professional judgement.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for young people.

A teaching qualification is not essential. Applications are welcomed from experienced Behaviour Managers, pastoral professionals, learning mentors and candidates with relevant transferable experience of supporting young people.
