Are you a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor looking for your next opportunity in Gateshead?
Schools Mutual Services is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Gateshead to recruit a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, helping pupils stay engaged in their learning and gaining valuable experience in a secondary school environment.
Whether you’re an experienced Cover Supervisor or have previous experience supporting young people in an educational setting, we’d love to hear from you!
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a reliable, confident and enthusiastic individual who can create a positive learning environment and support pupils throughout the school day.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or supporting young people in a UK secondary school.
- A good understanding of classroom behaviour management.
- Confidence supervising groups of secondary school pupils.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to explain instructions clearly and keep pupils engaged.
- A patient, professional and adaptable approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- A valid Enhanced DBS certificate for the Child Workforce, or willingness to complete the application process.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
Previous experience in a school environment is highly desirable.
