Schools Mutual Services is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to support a secondary school in Durham from December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident classroom practitioner who can bring psychology to life, engage students and support them in developing their knowledge, critical-thinking skills and confidence. The successful teacher will deliver well-structured lessons, maintain high expectations and make a positive contribution to the wider school community.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Qualified Teacher Status or an appropriate equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for psychology.
- Experience teaching psychology within a secondary school or sixth-form setting.
- Effective classroom and behaviour-management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for young people.
- An enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or willingness to complete the required checks.
