Within our partner school based in Durham, we’re looking for a SEN Teacher.
The Teacher will be given a full brief on the first day of arrival for this long-term full-time post. Part-time applicants may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Individualised Support – Provide tailored assistance to students with ASD, ADHD, behavioural challenges, and trauma backgrounds.
- Behaviour Management – Implement positive behaviour strategies to maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Collaborative Teaching – Work closely with the classroom teacher and TAs to deliver lessons, adapting content to meet individual needs.
- Student Progress Monitoring – Track and assess student progress, adjusting strategies to support academic and personal growth.
- Parent and Staff Communication – Maintain open communication with parents, carers, and staff to ensure consistent support for each child.
To be considered for the SEN Teacher position in Durham, you will be required to have the following:
- A recognised UK teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children
- Able to commute to Durham
- A current DBS Certificate or willing to undertake an application
- Have the right to work within the UK
