Our member Oxford School is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team in the coming weeks. This opportunity is a brilliant opportunity to gain experience with children in a school-based setting.
Your Role as a Learning Support Assistant:
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering lessons by providing support to students who need additional help to engage with the curriculum.
- One-to-One Assistance: Work closely with individual students who require extra support, including those with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Group Work Facilitation: Support small groups of students in completing tasks, helping to foster collaboration and understanding.
- Behavioural Support: Help to manage and promote positive behaviour in the classroom, supporting the teacher in creating a conducive learning environment.
- Resource Preparation: Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by teaching staff to ensure lessons are well-organised and engaging.
- Progress Monitoring: Assist in tracking student progress, and providing feedback to teachers to inform lesson planning and interventions.
