We are looking to recruit a cover supervisor to join a secondary school in the Oxford area.
Your role is a secondary school cover supervisor:
- Covering lessons for absent or unavailable teaching staff and assisting students in different classes with prepared work.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment, maintaining a calm, respectful, and purposeful atmosphere while building strong and trusting relationships with students.
- Clearly explain tasks to students, ensuring their understanding and providing guidance and support throughout the lesson. Keep students engaged, offer encouragement, and provide constructive feedback to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Maintain thorough records of student behaviour, both positive and negative, and administer appropriate disciplinary measures when needed.
