We are looking for a French Teacher to join a school in Oxford.
This is a Maternity Cover post, starting from January 2025.

To be considered for the Teacher of Languages position in Oxford, North East of England, you will be required to do the following:
- To prepare lessons for classes up to A level based on a sound understanding of the learning needs of every student.
- To teach assigned classes using a range of appropriate resources and strategies including using ICT to engage pupils.
- To know the learners’ individual needs including those who are high attainers or have SEN and plan accordingly. To liaise with the Inclusion team as required.
- To assess and monitor student learning including giving verbal and written feedback which facilitates student progress.
- To follow schemes of work agreed upon within the department and contribute to their development.
- To establish and maintain a positive classroom climate which supports the achievement of every student.
- To promote high standards of behaviour and engagement by using the school’s policy and agreed approaches.
- To maintain up-to-date knowledge of language teaching and of research and inspection findings.
- To maintain knowledge of the relevant curriculum and course requirements at Key Stage 3, GCSE and AS/A Level.
- To be able to communicate effectively, explaining and modelling scientific ideas as required by all courses.
